Expressing yourself with music is fun! With my approach to voice and music, you will learn to let your natural talent express itself freely. I teach voice lessons and music theory to all ages. I teach piano and music literacy to children.
I have developed a method which encourages children and their families to share music together in fun ways. No child is too young to learn music. Start singing to them even before they are born! I teach mothers and fathers to sing to their unborn and newborns and to feel relaxed and comfortable about it. If you feel you don't know enough about music to give your children the gift of music, you will find out in my lessons that you really have what it takes to sing to them and play musical games with them and you will have plenty of ideas about how you can do all of that and more.
My technique in voice lessons for teenagers and adults is based on the privilege of having studied with two geniuses of vocal pedagogy. The first is Olga Averino, who sang with the Boston Symphony and other major symphonies around the world. My second voice teacher was Ann Graber in Oakland California, who I had the honor to study with for several years. Ann's innovative approach to teaching has influenced prominent musicians.
My method is a blend of all that I have learned from both my former teachers. I treat the person as a whole: physically, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.
Studying voice with me is a life-changing experience for many of my students.
